Tehran, Iran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned that Israel is continuing what he described as a political and military campaign aimed at pushing the United States into a full-scale war with Iran. He asserted that any such confrontation is “unwinnable” and will not achieve its objectives. Instead, it will lead to a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the entire region.
In remarks carried by Iranian media, Araqchi explained that Tehran believes Tel Aviv is seeking to broaden the conflict by drawing Washington into a direct confrontation. He also stated that the continuation of this approach will further complicate regional affairs and increase the likelihood of a wider war. He added that such a war would have repercussions extending far beyond the Middle East.
The Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that his country does not seek escalation, but will defend its sovereignty and interests if attacked. He also stressed that military solutions will not resolve the crisis. He indicated that the only way to avoid further tension lies in returning to the diplomatic track and dialogue.
Araghchi’s statements come at a time of escalating military and political tensions in the region. There are international concerns that the confrontation could widen and transform into an open regional conflict. This could have repercussions for international maritime security, energy markets, and regional stability.
