Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian News Agency reported that Jordanian air defenses intercepted and shot down three missiles launched from Iranian territory. This action was taken as part of defensive measures aimed at protecting the Kingdom’s sovereignty and the security of its airspace.
The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that air defense systems engaged the missiles immediately upon detection and successfully intercepted them before they posed a threat to populated areas or infrastructure. No casualties or material damage were reported.
Jordanian authorities emphasized that the armed forces are operating at the highest level of readiness to address any threat to the Kingdom’s security. They also affirmed that protecting Jordanian airspace and national sovereignty is a non-negotiable priority.
This development comes amid escalating military tensions in the region. At the same time, Jordan continues to take the necessary measures to safeguard its national security and is working to prevent any violation of its airspace or any endangerment of its citizens.
