It explained that the sounds of explosions heard by citizens and residents are
due to interception operations carried out by air defense systems.
The General Staff urged everyone to adhere to the safety and security instructions
issued by the relevant authorities for their own safety.
Escalating Iranian attacks
The announcement comes at a time when Kuwait, along with a number of Gulf states,
is being subjected to Iranian attacks that Tehran says are targeting American targets in the region.
This is happening amid an unprecedented escalation in military tensions.
