Kuwait – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense forces successfully intercepted and downed four missiles, including three ballistic missiles and one cruise missile, as well as ten Iranian drones, after detecting them approaching Kuwaiti airspace. The ministry confirmed that the operation was carried out professionally and without any casualties.
In an official statement, the ministry affirmed that early warning and detection systems identified the aerial targets immediately upon their approach. Air defense units then initiated interception and destruction operations, thus ensuring the protection of Kuwaiti airspace and safeguarding the security of citizens and residents.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces continue to raise their level of readiness and preparedness to deal with any security or military developments that the region may witness. It indicated that all units are operating according to integrated defense plans to counter various threats.
This development comes amidst escalating military tensions in the region, with the widening scope of regional confrontations. This has prompted a number of Gulf states to strengthen their security and defense measures in anticipation of any repercussions that might affect their national security or the integrity of their airspace.
