The Lebanese president stated that he would not back down from the decision to negotiate.

He also affirmed his commitment to continuing to explain the importance of this path to the public.

Furthermore, he emphasized Lebanon’s unwavering commitment

to its sovereignty throughout all stages of the negotiation process.

He clarified that negotiations represent an option aimed at protecting national

interests and restoring rights through diplomatic means.

Framework Agreement and Restoration of Rights

The president added that the framework agreement would restore Lebanon’s rights through diplomatic channels.

This is contingent upon Israel’s adherence to all the agreement’s provisions

and the successful implementation of its mechanisms on the ground.

He noted that the agreement’s success depends on the fulfillment of mutual obligations.

Only then will its objectives be guaranteed.

complex regional challenges

The Lebanese president noted that the negotiation process is taking place

within a highly complex regional environment.

Israeli calculations are intertwined with developments related

to Iranian-American relations, making the task even more difficult.

He affirmed that Lebanon will continue to defend its rights and sovereignty through diplomatic means.

Furthermore, any agreements reached will be monitored to ensure they safeguard national interests and bolster stability.
