Beirut, Lebanon – The U.S. State Department confirmed that Secretary Marco Rubio emphasized Washington’s full support for the Lebanese government’s efforts to strengthen state sovereignty and build strong institutions capable of enforcing stability. He noted that these efforts form the foundation for internal security and peace.
U.S. Stance: Monopoly of Force
During his discussions, Secretary Rubio reiterated the necessity of disarming Hezbollah. He considered it a crucial step toward restoring the Lebanese state’s control over all its territories. Supporting State Institutions and the Army
