Amman, Jordan – Jordanian security forces announced they had thwarted four separate attempts to smuggle quantities of narcotics across the Kingdom’s eastern border. This came as part of a series of field operations aimed at strengthening border control and combating smuggling networks.
Security sources stated that the operations were based on precise intelligence and continuous field monitoring of suspicious movements in border areas. Specialized forces dealt with the attempts promptly, foiling them before the smugglers could bring the narcotics into Jordanian territory.
The sources added that the relevant authorities implemented swift and decisive measures that resulted in the seizure of the smuggled materials and the thwarting of the associated schemes. They affirmed that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and counter any attempts targeting national security.
Security officials emphasized that the eastern border is witnessing continuous enhancements in monitoring and security measures. They explained that modern technologies and round-the-clock field patrols are being employed to prevent any infiltration or smuggling attempts.
They affirmed that the security services are continuing to perform their duties with high efficiency. They also stressed that they will not tolerate any criminal activity that threatens the security and stability of the Kingdom or the safety of its citizens.
