Tel Aviv, Israel – The direct confrontation between Tel Aviv and Tehran has entered a new phase of military escalation, with the Israeli Air Force launching a series of intensive airstrikes early Monday morning targeting strategic sites deep inside Iran.

Israel’s Channel 13 revealed that the Air Force expanded its operations to include bombing 20 military and industrial targets inside Iranian territory.
This strike comes in response to an unprecedented Iranian attack, in which the Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported on Sunday the launch of approximately 10 ballistic missiles directly from Iranian territory toward the Israeli heartland.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the Iranian attack was more intense than initial reports indicated. It involved a barrage of approximately 86 missiles launched from various locations in western and central Iran, targeting large areas in northern and central Israel. This prompted a massive activation of air defense systems to intercept the threats in the air.

Amidst the ongoing tensions, the Israeli military announced that its air defense systems are still working to intercept the remaining rockets.
Following a new security assessment, the Home Front Command instructed citizens to leave their shelters. It also stressed the need to remain fully vigilant and adhere to all instructions issued by security authorities, given the critical situation on the ground.
While the Israeli army described its attacks on the Mahshahr complex as a “preliminary report,” it pledged to release further details about the results of the military operations later.
