Tehran, Iran – Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message on the occasion of the Hajj season, containing both religious and political themes.
In his message, he spoke of what he described as major transformations taking place in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
He indicated that the region is moving towards a new phase that will differ from the conditions that prevailed in recent decades.
Redrawing regional balances
In his message, Khamenei asserted that Middle Eastern countries would not, in his words, “be shields for American bases.”
He argued that American influence in the region is gradually declining compared to previous periods.
He also alluded to what he described as the formation of a “new order,”
adding that it could reshape regional balances in the coming phase.
The message also addressed regional developments and pressing political issues,
outlining the Iranian leadership’s perspective on the ongoing transformations in the region.
This comes amidst continued diplomatic efforts and international negotiations related to
the regional situation and relations between Tehran and international powers.
An opportunity to promote shared awareness
From a religious perspective, Khamenei pointed out that the Hajj season is not limited to performing rituals,
but also carries broader spiritual and humanitarian meanings.
These meanings are linked to the values of unity, solidarity, and rapprochement among Muslim peoples.
He considered this occasion an opportunity to strengthen shared awareness and cooperation among Muslims.
This message comes at a time when the region is witnessing rapid developments on the political and security levels.
This adds further dimensions to the statements issued
by influential figures in the regional landscape.
This is especially true given the ongoing discussions about the future of balances and alliances in the Middle East.
