Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council affirmed that the country will not yield to external pressure. It emphasized that this stance has been proven both on the battlefield and in diplomacy. This statement underscores Tehran’s ability to withstand various levels of confrontation with the regional and international challenges facing Iran. The Council added that the current phase requires the highest degree of internal cohesion to counter what it described as attempts to exert pressure and weaken the country.
Emphasis on steadfastness in the face of confrontation
The council explained in its statement that Iran possesses a firm political and military will that has enabled it to deal with various forms of threat. It added that this includes engagement on the military front as well as through diplomatic channels. It noted that past experiences have proven that the “maximum pressure” policy has failed to achieve its objectives. Furthermore, Tehran has been able to overcome numerous challenges through its political and security tools.
A call to strengthen internal unity

It asserted that a cohesive home front sends a clear message to adversaries that attempts to weaken the country will not succeed. Furthermore, it emphasized that the Iranian people are capable of withstanding external pressures.
Message to regional and international adversaries
The statement emphasized that continued unity and cohesion would “make the enemy feel desperate,” as it put it. It also affirmed that Iran would continue its defense and diplomatic policies to protect its national interests. Furthermore, it indicated that Tehran would work to strengthen its regional and international presence to ensure its security and stability. In addition, it would continue to confront what it described as hostile plots in the region.
