Israel’s Channel 12 revealed that the Air Force has raised its readiness level to the absolute maximum, anticipating a potential order from US President Donald Trump to launch a new military attack against Iran in the next few days.
These rapid military maneuvers follow Trump’s sudden announcement suspending scheduled strikes, which led to a spike in regional security tensions and prompted the Israeli military to declare a comprehensive state of alert.
According to Hebrew media reports, political and military circles in Israel were surprised by the recent US decision to postpone the attack.
Nevertheless, field evaluations indicate that the retreat is temporary, as the Israeli Air Force continues intensive preparations for the potential resumption of offensive operations in coordination with Washington at any moment, to repel any counter-move from Tehran.
Harvest of Operations “Midnight Hammer” and “Epic Fury” Destroying Iranian Military Infrastructure
In a related context, the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, confirmed that previous US military operations succeeded excellently in achieving their strategic objectives.
Cooper explained, during his testimony and extensive hearing before the House Armed Services Committee in the US Congress, that operations “Midnight Hammer” and “Epic Fury” dealt crushing and comprehensive blows to Iran’s military infrastructure. The CENTCOM commander pointed out that the first operation, “Midnight Hammer”, significantly weakened Iranian nuclear capabilities, while the second operation, “Epic Fury”, focused on crushing and destroying the ballistic missile and drone arsenal, as well as destroying about 90% of Iran’s defense industrial base, depriving the regime of the capacity to rebuild or restore it for many years to come.
The Toll of Ongoing Targeting of US Forces and Fears of Direct Confrontation
Iranian-backed factional forces have launched more than 350 military attacks against US forces, targeting American troops and diplomats over the past two and a half years.
These direct targetings resulted in the death of 4 US military personnel and injuries to others.
Admiral Brad Cooper indicated that this toll of attacks is what prompted the US administration to adopt the decisive military response option to deter Tehran. Observers emphasized that Israel’s raising of its alert status reflects genuine fears of the collapse of the temporary truce and the shifting of the geopolitical trajectory toward a direct and open regional confrontation, especially with the Air Force prepared to adopt any imminent offensive mandate.
