Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump asserted that communism poses an existential threat to American freedom, emphasizing that it represents a greater danger to the future of the United States than, in his view, the September 11, 2001 attacks. Speaking to a rally of his supporters, Trump stated that what he termed “radical left-wing ideologies” now directly challenge American values, calling for action against what he described as attempts to spread communist ideology within educational institutions, government agencies, and other sectors of the country.
He added that preserving constitutional freedoms and American identity requires confronting these ideas, emphasizing that his administration, should he return to power, would continue to take measures aimed at protecting what he described as the fundamental principles upon which the United States was founded.
Trump’s remarks sparked mixed reactions in American political and media circles. His supporters see them as reflecting genuine concerns about the country’s future, while his critics consider them part of political rhetoric intended to rally his electoral base ahead of upcoming elections.
