Moscow, Russia – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces captured 29 towns in the areas of military operations in Ukraine during the month of June, confirming continued progress on several fronts. In addition, dozens of precision strikes were carried out against Ukrainian military targets.
The ministry explained in a statement that Russian forces conducted 55 strikes last month using high-precision weapons and drones. These operations targeted military installations, defense industries, command centers, and ammunition and fuel depots. Furthermore, locations where Ukrainian troops and military equipment were concentrated were also targeted.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that military operations, according to the statement, had strengthened Russian forces’ positions on several fronts. Meanwhile, Russian forces continued to exert pressure on Ukrainian units and weaken their combat capabilities. The ministry also noted that strikes targeted military infrastructure used to support combat operations.
These statements come as fighting continues between the two sides along the front lines. There has been no immediate comment from the Ukrainian side regarding the figures announced by Moscow. Military operations continue amidst international efforts to find a settlement to the ongoing conflict.
