Washington – US President Donald Trump issued a stern message to Tehran, confirming that the naval blockade imposed on Iran will remain in full force and will not be lifted until Iran agrees to a comprehensive nuclear deal that meets all American conditions. Trump explained that the “blockade” strategy has proven to be a more effective and impactful pressure tool than direct military options, as it has suffocated Iranian oil exports and placed the regime in an unprecedented economic deadlock without the need for large-scale warfare.

“Islamabad Talks Failure”: Why Trump Refuses to Concede Now?

These remarks follow the failure of the direct negotiation round held in Islamabad, Pakistan, which ended without tangible results due to sharp differences in positions. While Iran demanded a permanent ceasefire and sanctions relief to catch its breath, Washington insisted on “dismantling nuclear ambitions” and fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz for international navigation under American guarantees. Obviously, Trump views the blockade as a “winning card” he will not surrender before obtaining full strategic concessions from the Iranian side.

“Your Ships in the Crosshairs”: Firm Military Messages to Prevent Blockade Breaches

Trump’s statements were not limited to politics; they carried direct military threats. He warned that US forces would deal “decisively” with any vessel attempting to approach or breach the blockade zone, noting that orders have been issued to engage any potential threat. Accordingly, analysts believe the region has been living in a “Cold War” on the water since the clashes in February, putting global energy security at stake and making the possibility of a collision between Washington/Israel and Iran highly likely with any tactical miscalculation.
