Manama, Bahrain – The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the revocation of citizenship from 69 individuals for what it described as expressing sympathy for and glorifying Iranian hostile acts.

This move is part of security measures to protect internal stability.

A security decision to protect the state

The Bahrain Ministry of Interior explained that the decision comes

within the framework of implementing national laws related to maintaining national security.

The decision also aims to counter any activities or stances that could threaten the country’s stability or harm its higher interests.

It emphasized that the measures taken are based on security and legal considerations.

This also comes in light of what it described as the increasing risks associated with regional interference.

The decision includes dependent families

The Bahrain Ministry of Interior indicated that the revocation of citizenship

also included the families of those affected, in accordance with the legal framework in force in the Kingdom.

The Ministry did not disclose further details regarding the identities of those impacted by the decision.

Confronting regional threats

The Bahrain Ministry of Interior’s decision comes amid escalating regional tensions.

Bahraini authorities emphasized their continued commitment to taking

all necessary measures to counter any threats to the country’s security and stability.

The Ministry also affirmed its commitment to protecting society and confronting any attempts to undermine internal security.

It stressed that maintaining stability is a top priority under the current circumstances.
