Qatar calls for extending the truce between Washington and Tehran and prioritizing diplomatic solutions

Doha, Qatar – The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. It stressed that preserving calm is a necessary step to prevent further escalation in the region.

In an official statement, the Qatari Foreign Ministry explained that the continuation of the ceasefire would pave the way for diplomatic channels and political solutions. This would contribute to achieving regional stability, protecting the security of international navigation, and safeguarding the interests of the region’s peoples.

Doha also called on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue. It affirmed its full support for all international and regional efforts aimed at reducing tensions and finding a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
