Beijing, China – His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with the chairs of the boards of directors of major Chinese companies in the sectors of energy, petrochemical industry, sovereign investments, advanced technology, renewable energy solutions and electronic industries. Within the framework of strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China. By exploring new horizons for economic and development cooperation between the two countries.

As part of these meetings, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Dai Huliang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China National Petroleum Corporation. The two sides discussed ways to expand cooperation in the energy sector and clean energy solutions. Strengthening supply chains to support energy security regionally and globally, in addition to exchanging visions on future cooperation opportunities.

His Highness also met with Liao Zhengtai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wanhua Petrochemical Industries Company of China. During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the manufacturing industries sector were reviewed. Employing modern and advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve industrial sustainability goals.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi met with Robin Zeng, founder and CEO of Amperex Technology (CATL), a leader in renewable energy solutions and battery technologies. The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and exchanging knowledge and experiences in the energy storage battery industry to support efforts to enhance the operational efficiency of smart transportation. The role of advanced technologies in supporting climate neutrality efforts and trends.

His Highness also met with Lee Jun, Chairman of Xiaomi Electronics and Advanced Technology. The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of technological innovation and advanced electronic industries, and ways to enhance partnership. This contributes to supporting digital transformation in various vital and priority sectors in the economic development paths between the two countries.
