Manama, Bahrain – The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday that Civil Defense teams had successfully brought a fire under complete control at a vital facility in the Kingdom, following an attack by Iran. The Ministry confirmed in its statement that the swift containment of the blaze prevented any casualties. The Ministry also commended the security forces for their efficient handling of the aftermath of the attack.
In a related development, the Ministry of Interior reported two minor injuries among citizens, in addition to material damage to several residential homes in the Sitra area.
Authorities explained that the damage resulted from falling debris following the interception and destruction of an Iranian drone by air defense systems. The drone was destroyed before reaching its target.
This announcement comes at a time of heightened security tensions in the region, with Manama describing the Iranian attack as a “blatant act of aggression” that threatens regional security and stability, as well as international navigation.
Despite the declaration of a temporary ceasefire on other fronts, this incident underscores the fragility of the situation on the ground and the need for comprehensive security guarantees.
The Bahraini government affirmed that it is taking all necessary measures to protect its citizens and sovereign facilities. It emphasized that such hostile acts will not undermine the Kingdom’s resilience or its national security.
