Islamabad, Pakistan – A powerful earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck northern Pakistan, triggering widespread panic. Authorities declared a state of high alert in anticipation of casualties and property damage.

Official sources reported that the tremor was felt in cities and mountainous regions. Residents rushed into the streets in a state of panic, fearing building collapses. This was particularly true in areas with fragile infrastructure.

Seismologists indicated that the earthquake’s epicenter was at a moderate depth, which contributed to its widespread impact. Emergency teams immediately began field surveys to assess potential damage. Warnings were issued regarding the possibility of aftershocks.

Authorities urged citizens to follow safety guidelines and avoid approaching damaged buildings. They also confirmed that rescue and emergency teams were on standby to respond immediately to any emergencies.
