Gaza, Palestine — The Palestinian Civil Defense announced today, Thursday, that six people, including four children, were killed by Israeli fire in Gaza. The Israeli army stated that it carried out an airstrike inside Gaza City. They claimed it had observed an attempted rocket launch that fell within the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the army alleged that it “observed a failed launch from an area in Gaza City toward Israel,” and that the projectile “landed within the territory of the Gaza Strip.”

The army continued: “In a quick closing of the circle, we precisely struck the launch site.” No Palestinian group has claimed responsibility for the attempted rocket launch. The attempt resulted in the deaths of six children. No injuries from the airstrike have been reported, according to available information. An Anadolu correspondent in Gaza reported hearing an explosion, which was later confirmed to have been caused by the airstrike. In the same context, the Israeli army has continued since early morning to fire toward the tents of civilians. These civilians lack alternative housing after Israel destroyed their homes during the two-year-long campaign of destruction.
