Algeria – Algerian radio announced on Tuesday that a Tunisian Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Houari Boumediene International Airport in the capital, Algiers, after a passenger suffered a medical emergency during the flight.

Details of the incident

The Tunisian plane was on a scheduled flight that departed this afternoon from Tunis-Carthage International Airport, bound for Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, Morocco. While in flight, a Moroccan passenger suffered a sudden health problem, prompting the crew to make an immediate landing at the nearest airport to ensure her safety.

Quick response

Upon landing, Algerian civil protection teams stationed at the airport intervened, and the passenger was quickly transferred to Mustapha Pacha University Hospital in Algiers to receive the necessary medical care. No further details are yet available regarding the nature of the passenger’s health crisis. The plane later resumed its journey to its final destination in Casablanca after the passenger’s condition stabilized and she was transferred to the hospital.
