Washington, DC – CNN reports that influential circles in the US are engaged in intensive efforts to dissuade President Donald Trump from pursuing the idea of resuming nuclear testing. This has sparked widespread concern within political and security establishments.

According to network sources, US administration officials and congressional leaders have expressed genuine concerns about the international repercussions of any new nuclear test. Such a test could trigger a new arms race and potentially strain Washington’s relations with its allies.

Reports indicate that domestic lobbying efforts are focused on persuading Trump to accept a global rejection of a return to nuclear testing. They also emphasize that the diplomatic path remains the safest and most stable option for the United States.

These moves come at a time of growing doubt about the future of arms control agreements. There are warnings that any misstep could plunge the world back into a Cold War atmosphere.
