Moscow, Russia – Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones over several areas after a night attack, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on its Telegram account that 11 drones were shot down over the Volgograd region in southern Russia.
While the rest were destroyed over the Rostov, Belgorod and Bryansk regions in the southwest of the country.
The Ministry explained that it was destroyed:
- 11 drones over the territory of Volgograd Oblast.
- 8 drones over the territory of Rostov Oblast.
- One drone over each of the territories of Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
It also announced yesterday, Saturday, that air defense systems were able to intercept 4 Neptune missiles and 233 Ukrainian drones.
She noted that 20 Ukrainian marches were shot down in the airspace of Crimea and Smolensk Oblast.
