Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Sharjah FC secured a hard-fought victory against United, defeating them 4-3 on Saturday evening at Sharjah Stadium, in the fourth round of the UAE Pro League.
Sharjah imposed themselves early on the course of the match, as Igor Coronado managed to open the scoring in the 11th minute, before United quickly equalized through Adel Wajdan four minutes later.
“The King” returned to the lead again in the 33rd minute through Coronado, who did not wait long to add his second and third goals for his team in the 35th minute, ending the first half with Sharjah leading 3-1.
The second half began with a strong comeback from United, after they scored two consecutive goals through Anis Karimi in the 49th and 50th minutes, bringing the game back to a 3-3 draw and igniting the competition to win the three points.
The offensive attempts from both teams continued during the remaining minutes, before Sharjah succeeded in delivering the decisive blow in the 88th minute, when Coronado returned to the net, scoring the fourth goal, completing his personal hat-trick and giving his team an exciting victory.

With this victory, Sharjah raised its tally to 9 points to advance to fifth place in the ADNOC Pro League standings, while United’s tally remained at 6 points in sixth place.
