SAN DIEGO, United States – Abu Dhabi Biobank, the joint strategic initiative of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and M42, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with BioTwin. To expand the development of AI-powered virtual human twin technology (Virtual Human Twin) in the UAE. This enhances early diagnosis, prevention, and precision medicine efforts, and keeps pace with Abu Dhabi’s efforts to establish a future health system based on innovation.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization’s 2026 World Conference in San Diego, USA.
The partnership brings together the BioTwin platform for biomarkers collected at successive time intervals and virtual human twin technology. Abu Dhabi Biobank’s capabilities in linking biological data with genomic and clinical data and insights derived from artificial intelligence. This enhances understanding of complex diseases, accelerates clinical research, and supports the shift towards proactive health care based on prevention.
The agreement opens future horizons in the fields of clinical, operational, and commercial application in Abu Dhabi. From early detection to broader applications in prevention, health improvement, and personalized healthcare.
The BioTwin platform combines the collection of dried blood samples from homes, the analysis of multiple biomarkers, and virtual human twin models powered by artificial intelligence. This allows for the extraction of long-term data on the health trajectories of each individual.
