Dubai, UAE – The Emirates Pharmaceutical Foundation carried out field visits to a number of national factories for medicines and medical supplies, to discuss development and expansion plans and enhance partnership with the industrial sector. Within the framework of the UAE’s orientations towards developing the pharmaceutical industry and localizing advanced therapeutic technologies.
During the tour, Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Emirates Pharmaceutical Corporation, was briefed on the production capabilities and operational technologies in a number of national factories. Gulf included Inject, LIFEPharma, and MicroSynergy Pharmaceuticals.
She stressed that the development witnessed by the pharmaceutical sector in the UAE reflects the success of national trends aimed at building a more flexible and sustainable sector. Adding that the Corporation continues to strengthen its partnerships with national factories in a way that contributes to expanding production capabilities and creating a flexible legislative environment that stimulates innovation and attracts investment.

Dr. Al Kaabi reviewed the latest technologies used in manufacturing and quality assurance. Including sterile manufacturing systems, intelligent packaging, automated production lines, and the application of Good Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. In addition to plans to develop national manufacturing capabilities in advanced pharmaceutical and therapeutic fields.
During the meetings with factory officials, she discussed the most important future plans, growth requirements and challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry. Especially in the areas of increasing production capacity, specialized technologies, attracting talent, and developing manufacturing capabilities.
I discussed with them ways to enhance cooperation, in a way that supports the development of the regulatory and supervisory environment, and contributes to accelerating industrial expansion projects and localizing pharmaceutical industries. On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Essam Mohamed, CEO of Mubadala Bio, said that Mubadala’s subsidiary, Gulf Inject, continues to invest in sterile manufacturing technologies and expands production lines for intravenous solutions, antibiotics, and specialized therapeutic products. This contributes to ensuring the continuous availability of essential medicines in local and regional markets.
In turn, Madukar Tana, CEO of LIFEPharma, confirmed that the company is working to expand its projects in the fields of vaccines, advanced treatments and bioinjections, in parallel with developing its capabilities
Manufacturing and strengthening its presence in international markets, adding that the company’s accreditation from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) reflects its commitment to global regulatory standards and the quality of the Emirati pharmaceutical product. It supports its ability to compete and export to multiple markets around the world.
In the same context, Aziz Rahmani, General Manager of MicroSynergy Pharmaceuticals (MicroSynergy Pharmaceuticals), explained that the company focuses on developing modern automation and control systems in the manufacture of solid, liquid and semi-solid pharmaceutical forms in accordance with Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP). To enhance production efficiency and the sustainable availability of essential medicines, in addition to supporting growth plans in local and regional markets.
