Al Ain, United Arab Emirates – Al Ain began their campaign in the second round of the ADNOC Pro League with a comfortable 2-0 victory over their guest Khorfakkan, in a match held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
Al Ain decided the match during the first half, after Soufiane Rahimi opened the scoring in the 36th minute, taking advantage of a pass from Kaku, before Ahmadou Camara added the second goal by mistake four minutes later.

— ADSportsTV (@ADSportsTV) August 22, 2026The first half saw two Al Ain goals disallowed for offside, the first by Yahya Benkhaleq in the fifth minute, and then by Hussein Rahimi in the 26th minute, while Khorfakkan’s most notable attempt came through Ahmed Jashk, who shot a ball from outside the penalty area that went over the crossbar.
Al Ain continued to dominate the match, controlling 73.1% of the ball, compared to 26.9% for Khorfakkan, with a passing accuracy of 90.09% compared to 72.09% for the visiting team.
Khorfakkan failed to get back into the game during the second half, as the home team continued to dominate the proceedings.
Al Ain almost extended their lead on more than one occasion, most notably Soufiane Rahimi’s shot that went over the goal in the 74th minute, and then Ahmed Hamdan Al Hosani’s save of Palacios’ attempt from inside the penalty area in the 82nd minute.
Al Ain maintained their lead until the final whistle, earning three valuable points from the start of their campaign in the competition.
