Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Emirates Judo Federation, headed by His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaaloub Al Deri, announced the approval of the participation of 5 players in the Asian Junior Championship. Hosted by the Federation of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on May 28 and 29.

The union explained that the list includes Masoud Al-Masmari “under 55 kg” and Anas Al-Yamahi “under 60 kg”. Saqr Al-Otaibi “under 66 kg”, Hamid Al-Mazmi “under 73 kg” and Youssef Al-Awad “under 81 kg”.

He pointed out that the mission will be headed by Mohammed Jassim, Secretary-General of the Union. It includes the technical staff consisting of Uzbek coach Sharafeddine Lutfi and Dr. Moh Al-Moh, a member of the technical committee.

Al-Darai confirmed that the mission will leave for Tashkent on the 26th of this month, in preparation for participating in the tournament, which is witnessing great competition between hundreds of male and female players. Explaining that the team is preparing through a training camp in Fujairah from May 22 to 25, before traveling to Uzbekistan.

He noted the Federation’s keenness to pay attention to the age group teams during the next stage. Within an integrated strategy to establish a broad base of emerging players.
