Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist attacks targeting Kuwait using drones. It affirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken to maintain its security and stability.
Official condemnation of the attacks
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an official statement, affirmed that these terrorist attacks constitute
a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a direct threat to its security and stability.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized the UAE’s rejection of all acts aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of brotherly nations.
The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s unwavering support for Kuwait in confronting any threats to its national security.
It affirmed its support for all measures taken to protect Kuwait’s security, territorial integrity, and national assets.
Emphasis on Gulf solidarity
The statement emphasized the deep fraternal ties between the UAE and Kuwait,
affirming that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is indivisible and that
any threat to one member state constitutes a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.
The UAE’s stance comes amidst a series of Gulf and Arab condemnations of the recent attacks targeting Kuwait.
In this context, calls have intensified for enhanced security coordination
and regional cooperation to confront terrorist threats and counter attempts to destabilize the region.
Rejection of escalation and targeting of civilians
The UAE, through a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
affirmed its categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence targeting states and civilian infrastructure,
calling for respect for the sovereignty of states and adherence to the rules of international law and the UN Charter.
