Amman, Jordan – Jordan condemned the attack targeting an Emirati tanker belonging to ADNOC as it transited the Strait of Hormuz.
It described the attack as a flagrant violation of international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
Official rejection and condemnation
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in an official statement, categorically rejected these attacks.
It emphasized that they constitute a clear violation of international norms guaranteeing the safety and security of maritime navigation.
Full solidarity with the UAE
Jordan expressed its full solidarity with the UAE and affirmed its complete support
for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.
A call for respect for international law
The statement emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
It also stressed the need to protect vital maritime routes to ensure regional stability and the security of global trade.
