Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed the launch of the “Dar Al Funun Abu Dhabi” project near the Saadiyat Cultural District in Abu Dhabi. When it opens in 2030, it will constitute one of the largest edifices specializing in music and performing arts in the region. It is equipped with the latest international theatrical and production technologies to present shows, events and artistic activities throughout the year.
The project includes a multi-purpose main hall with a capacity of more than 2,000 seats, an open amphitheater with a capacity of 3,500 seats, and a theater studio with a capacity of 400 seats. In addition to a 250-seat jazz club, the project’s total capacity will reach more than 6,000 seats across its various artistic facilities. To host the finest international artistic productions and provide exceptional cultural experiences to audiences locally, regionally and internationally.

His Highness was briefed on the main plans of Dar Al Funun Abu Dhabi, and listened to a detailed explanation of the architectural vision of the project and the stages of its implementation.
