Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chambers hosted a high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Canadian province of Ontario, Trevor Jones, at their headquarters.
This aims to explore ways to enhance intra-trade and investment opportunities and develop joint economic action.
The Chamber indicated that the value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Canada amounted to 10.2 billion dirhams in 2024.
Meanwhile, 1,042 new Canadian companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce last year.
The total number of active Canadian companies registered as members of the Chamber will rise to 4,673 companies by the end of 2025.
This reflects Dubai’s growing appeal to Canadian companies and investors, as a strategic and ideal base for regional and global expansion.
The chambers said in a statement that during the meeting with the Canadian delegation, discussions were held to enhance bilateral cooperation in a number of sectors.
Foremost among these is food and agricultural technology, along with the development of import and export traffic between Dubai and Ontario.
In addition to the support provided by Dubai Chambers to Canadian companies to develop and expand their operations in the region from Dubai.
The meeting also reviewed Dubai’s strategic location as a global hub for food security and supply chain management.
In addition to the competitive business environment in the emirate, which constitutes an ideal gateway to benefit from the promising and diverse growth prospects for Canadian companies in general and Ontario companies in particular.
