Dubai, UAE – Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “Dewa” achieved a net profit of 3.33 billion dirhams during the first half of 2026. With a growth of 15.02% compared to a net profit of approximately AED 2.89 billion in the same period in 2025. An increase of approximately 435 million dirhams.

Revenues increased during the first half by 1.80% to 14.86 billion dirhams. Compared to about 14.60 billion dirhams in the same period last year.

Operating profits also rose by 9.08% to 4.07 billion dirhams, compared to about 3.73 billion dirhams in the first half of 2025. Profits before depreciation, amortization, interest and taxes increased by 5.27% to AED 7.32 billion.

The Authority indicated that the results reflect the continued growth in demand for electricity and water services, in addition to improved operational performance.

Electricity production during the second quarter reached 15.78 terawatt hours, while clean energy production reached 3.14 terawatt hours. Equivalent to 19.9% of total electricity production.

The number of customer accounts also increased to 1.82 million accounts by the end of the second quarter, with an annual growth of 5.63%.

The company announced the distribution of profits worth 3.1 billion dirhams for the first half of 2026, scheduled to be paid in October 2026.
