Despite the loss, the Canadian team managed to secure a place in the round of 32 after finishing the group stage in second place, and will continue its journey in the tournament alongside the leading Swiss team.
The Swiss team started the match with clear attacking pressure, and almost opened the scoring early in the 12th minute, after Breel Embolo went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the Canadian goalkeeper shone and saved his goal from a certain goal.
