Al Ain, UAE – The match between Al Ain and Al Wasl, which took place this evening, Thursday, at the “Hazza Bin Zayed” stadium, ended in a 2-2 draw, as part of the fifth round of the ADNOC Pro League 2026-2027 season.
The exciting summit clash ended in a draw, with both teams exchanging goals throughout the two halves of the match, each earning a point in the race for the top spots.
Al Ain opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Abdul Karim Traore, who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that settled into the right corner of Al Wasl’s goal.
The home side did not hold onto their lead for long, as Nicolas Jimenez managed to bring the game back to a draw in the 38th minute, just before the end of the first half.
As the second half began, Al Wasl came out stronger and managed to turn the score around in the 53rd minute, after Sergio Pereira sent a pass to Mehdi Taremi, who headed it into Al Ain’s net.
Al Ain increased their pressure during the following minutes in search of an equalizer, until Valentin Lazaro succeeded in scoring the second goal for his team in the 82nd minute, bringing the match back to a draw.

With this result, Al Ain raised its tally to 13 points to occupy second place, while Al Wasl reached 10 points in fourth place in the ADNOC Pro League standings.
