Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Nassr overcame a deficit against Al-Diriyah to secure a resounding 4-1 victory. This occurred during their match on Tuesday evening, as part of the Round of 32 of the King’s Cup for the 2026-2027 season.
The match was held at Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh. It saw a strong start from Al-Diriyah, who surprised the home side with an early goal from Oscar Rodriguez after just two minutes.
Al-Diriyah’s lead didn’t last long, as Al-Nassr equalized in the 11th minute through Frenchman Mohamed Simakan. Simakan capitalized on the attacking pressure exerted by Al-Nassr after conceding the first goal.
Al-Nassr continued their dominance of the match, with Portuguese player João Félix scoring the second goal in the 35th minute. Just two minutes later, Abdullah Al-Hamdan added a third goal, giving Al-Nassr a 3-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Al-Diriyah tried to come back and reduce the deficit, but Al-Nassr maintained their lead. Then, in the 68th minute, João Félix scored again, netting his fourth goal of the match and his second of the game.
Al-Nassr secured their place in the Round of 16 of the King’s Cup after overcoming an early deficit to defeat Al-Diriyah decisively.
