Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid held an official presentation ceremony on Tuesday for their new manager, Portuguese José Mourinho. Club president Florentino Pérez was in attendance.
Real Madrid had previously announced the signing of Mourinho as the team’s new manager. However, the official presentation ceremony was postponed, despite the Portuguese coach leading the team’s preseason preparations.
Under Mourinho’s management, Real Madrid played four preseason friendlies against Fiorentina, Ferencváros, Deportivo La Coruña, and Schalke, remaining undefeated in all four matches.
The Real Madrid club’s meeting room hosted the presentation ceremony for Mourinho. Florentino Pérez made sure to welcome the Portuguese coach before the contracts were officially signed.
Mourinho signed a three-season contract with Real Madrid, keeping him with the club until June 30, 2029.
Following the signing ceremony, Real Madrid presented Mourinho with three gifts: a model of the club’s stadium, a clock, and a jersey bearing his name.
