Cairo, Egypt – ON Sport channel announced that it has obtained the rights to broadcast the two matches between Trabzonspor of Turkey and Ferencváros of Hungary, as part of the qualifying play-offs for the Europa League stage for the 2026-2027 season.
Both matches are generating significant public interest, especially given the presence of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in Trabzonspor’s ranks. The team aims to overcome the Hungarian side and secure their place in the European competition.
The channel confirmed in an official statement released on Tuesday that it had acquired the rights to broadcast Mohamed Salah’s European debut in a Trabzonspor jersey. This was done as part of a partnership with United Sports.
The first leg between Trabzonspor and Ferencváros will take place on Thursday, August 20, at the Babara Park Stadium in Turkey. The return leg will be played in Hungary on August 27.
Mohamed Salah, 34, made his debut for Trabzonspor in their opening Turkish league match against Kasimpasa, coming on as a substitute.
Trabzonspor are counting on Salah’s experience to secure victory in the two playoff matches and qualify for the Europa League. This comes after signing him on a free transfer during the current summer transfer window.
