Rome, Italy – Italian media reports have revealed new developments regarding the search for a new AC Milan manager. This comes after Dutchman Arne Slot was linked with taking over the team next season.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Slot is no longer among the options being considered by AC Milan’s management. This comes after the Dutch coach ruled out the idea of moving to the Rossoneri at this time.
The report indicated that the former Liverpool manager does not view the Milan project as his next destination. Instead, he prefers to wait and consider the available offers before making a final decision regarding his next coaching move.
On the other hand, Austrian Oliver Glasner and Argentine Mauricio Pochettino stand out as the most prominent names nominated to succeed the current coaching staff in Milan.
Glasner has entered the spotlight after his impressive spell with Crystal Palace, where he led the team to the UEFA Europa League title. Meanwhile, Pochettino continues his work as head coach of the United States national team, preparing them for the 2026 World Cup on home soil.
Milan are looking for a new coach to lead the team’s project in the coming phase. This comes as the management seeks to return the club to strong competition in domestic and continental championships.
It is worth noting that Slot took over as Liverpool manager two seasons ago and successfully led the team to the Premier League title. However, he was unable to add any further trophies to the Reds’ collection during his time with the club.
