Amman, Jordan – The UAE national judo team won 8 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze. During the opening of his participation in the Arab Junior Championship currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
Player Butti Ahmed Al Hashemi won the gold medal in the under 60 kg category after defeating Jordanian player Mohammed Moaz in the final. The second gold medal came to Saqr Badr Al-Otaibi in the under 66 kg weight class, after he defeated Kuwaiti player Mishari Marzouq. While the third gold medal was won by Youssef Al-Awad after his superiority in the under-81 kg final. Ali his Kuwaiti competitor, Musa Al-Dayan.
The 50 kg competition resulted in UAE national team player Manea Al Zaabi winning silver after a strong fight with Kuwaiti national team player Abdul Jalil Al Shammari. Player Hamdan Al Mazmi also won the silver medal in the 73 kg weight class, after playing in the final against Kuwaiti Rashid Faras. While the 55, 50 and 66 kg weight competitions witnessed the national team winning three bronze medals for players Masoud Al-Mismari, Muhammad Al-Mazmi, and Anas Al-Yamahi.
