Dubai, UAE – 7 male and female players representing the “UAE Fencing” are participating in the World Fencing Championships. Hosted by Hong Kong from July 22 to 30. With the participation of 1,452 male and female players from 114 countries, in one of the largest International Fencing Federation tournaments.
The list of participants from UAE clubs includes Fares Al Balushi from Fujairah Martial Arts Club. Khalifa Al Kaabi from Abu Dhabi Fencing Club. And Mohammed Al Mazmi from Sharjah Sports Club. In addition to players Lamar Al Nahla, Zainab Al Hosni, Fajr Al Marzouqi, and Sheikha Al Zaabi from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club. They compete in individual competitions in various weapons, with the aim of gaining more experience and interacting with the world’s elite players. This is in the last tournament of the 2025-2026 sports season.
The tournament is a major stop on the International Fencing Federation’s agenda. It brings together the world’s elite ranked players to compete for titles. It also represents an opportunity to promote the values of solidarity and cooperation among the global fencing family. In addition to contributing to the dissemination and development of the game at the international level.
