Amsterdam, Netherlands – The Algerian national team achieved a valuable victory over their Dutch hosts with a score of 1-0, in the friendly match that brought them together on Wednesday evening, as part of the two teams’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The match witnessed an even performance from both sides, before substitute Anis Hadj Moussa managed to snatch the winning goal for the “Desert Warriors” in the 86th minute, giving his country an important moral victory before the start of the World Cup.
The Algerian national team will begin its World Cup campaign with a tough match against Argentina on June 17, as part of the first round of Group 10, which also includes Jordan and Austria.
On the other hand, the Dutch national team will play a final friendly match against Uzbekistan next Monday, before starting their journey in the World Cup.
The Dutch national team will open their World Cup campaign by facing Japan on June 14, in the first round of Group F matches, which also includes Sweden and Tunisia.
