Munich, Germany – English star Harry Kane is close to extending his contract with Bayern Munich, amid a mutual desire between the two parties for the player to remain within the ranks of the Bavarian giants in the coming years.
The England captain is under contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2027, having joined the German team from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.
The German newspaper Bild reported that negotiations between Bayern Munich’s management and Harry Kane have seen positive developments recently, with a preliminary agreement to extend the current contract.
The newspaper added that the Bavarian club offered the English striker an extension of his contract until the summer of 2029, but the player preferred that his contract be until 2029, i.e., for the next three years.
The report confirmed that Bayern Munich’s management and Kean realize that the new contract may be the last in the player’s career with major clubs, especially given his age.
Winning the Champions League title remains Harry Kane’s main objective, after the team failed to reach the final this season following their semi-final exit against Paris Saint-Germain.
