Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian media figure Ahmed Shobeir revealed the truth about the news circulating regarding Al-Ahly Youth Club reaching an agreement with Zamalek to sign Brazilian Juan Bezerra, a player for the team, during the current summer transfer window.
Shobeir said that what was being circulated about the transfer of Bezerra to Shabab Al-Ahli for $4 million does not reflect the truth, noting that the source of this news is a Brazilian journalist who spoke about an agreement between the Emirati club and the player.
The Egyptian media figure explained during his radio program that the Brazilian journalist stated that Zamalek would receive $4 million in exchange for selling Bezerra to Shabab Al-Ahly, but the White Club officially denied this information.
Shobeir added: “Not every word written by a journalist, regardless of his nationality, is true. Yesterday, a Brazilian journalist wrote about an agreement that was made between Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai and Juan Bezerra to sign him”.
He continued: “The journalist confirmed that Zamalek Club would receive $4 million for selling Bezerra to Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai, but the club denied this”.
Shobeir pointed out that Zamalek issued an official statement confirming that the news circulating about agreeing to sell the player was incorrect, stressing that the board’s position has not changed.
He concluded his remarks by saying: “Zamalek issued a statement confirming that the news circulating about the sale of Bezerra is incorrect, especially since the player is under contract for the next 3 seasons”.
