Doha, Qatar – The Jordanian national team qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup after defeating Iraq 1-0 in the match that took place on Friday evening.
The Jordanian national team met with Iraq at the Education City Stadium in Qatar, as part of the quarter-final round of the Arab Championship.
The match started strongly from both teams, but without any danger to the goal.
In the 14th minute, Yazan Al-Naimat, a player for Jordan, left the field after suffering a serious injury, and Awda Al-Fakhoury took his place.
In the 39th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Jordan after reviewing the video technology due to the ball hitting the hand of an Iraqi defender.
Ali Alwan successfully executed the penalty kick in the 41st minute, giving Jordan a 1-0 lead over Iraq.
