This series is held with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office.

Al Wakrah succeeded in achieving a distinguished victory under the supervision of coach John de Meul. The leadership of jockey Olivier Dandenet helped achieve this. The horse won the title of the Spanish race, which was held over a distance of 1600 meters for the third category. The prize amounted to 200 thousand euros. It is the most expensive in the history of Arabian horse racing in Spain. This event saw distinguished participation of elite horse stables in Spain and Europe from the age of 4 years and above.

The champion showed tactical prowess in the course of the race. She remained behind the leaders until the last 400 metres, before launching strongly deep into the straight line. She expanded the gap and clinched the victory, raising her tally to 9 victories. She covered the race distance in a time of 1:42.67 minutes. “Lino” came in second place, and “Extra Time” third.
