11 horses will compete for the title of President's Cup for Arabian Horses in the Netherlands tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Tomorrow, Sunday, the “Dundcht” grass track in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, will host the eighth stop of the His Highness the President’s Cup series for purebred Arabian horses, as part of the racing agenda of the thirty-second edition of the prestigious international series.

The precious cup races receive the care and attention of the wise leadership, in support of owners and breeders in various countries of the world, and to encourage them to acquire and raise Arabian horses to maintain their authentic status and raise their status globally, which contributes to achieving an advanced Arabian horse racing industry according to the highest standards.

The Dutch Station Race is the most expensive in the history of Arabian horse racing in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with prizes worth $100,000. It witnesses the participation of 11 horses representing the elite Arabian horse stables and stands in the Netherlands and the European continent in the race, which is held over a distance of 2,150 meters for horses aged 4 years and above, within the third category.

The list includes a distinguished group of horses and a strong presence of Qatari marabouts, including “Afjan” (TM Fred Texas × Mazoon bint Amer) owned by Al Shaqab Racing, under the supervision of coach John de Meul and led by jockey Olivier Dandenet, “Al Zir” (Al Mamoun Monlow × Asmaa Al Khalidiya bint Amer), owned by Mohammed Fahd Al Attiyah, under the supervision of coach Francois Roho and led by jockey Guillaume Gage Guy, and “Raed” (Amer × Ondara bint Munjaz) owned by Wadhnan Racing, under the supervision of coach Alban de Meul and led by jockey Sufyan Al-Saadi.

The title holder of the last edition will be the mare “Farida B” (the mercenary × Hania DA, daughter of Majd Al Arab), owned and trained by Peter Deckers, and led by the mare Mirko Sana. The list of participants will also include a group of strong names, including El Paso T, Ska de Ligel, Dream Sec, and Zarqa D.A, Palazzo de Lardos, Paisa, and Papillion T.

His Excellency Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, said that the precious cup races continue to achieve their goals in creating strong Arabian horse races with high quality and a prestigious position on the global level, which contributes to encouraging and motivating owners and breeders to increase interest in raising and acquiring Arabian horses and raising their status in all countries of the world.

He added: We are proud of the continuity of the races and their arrival in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in light of the large participation of the most prominent marabouts and owners, which reflects their value and leadership as the best and most expensive series of Arabian horse races in the world.

He explained that the successes we see today are due to the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office, and His Highness’s great keenness to advance Arabian horse racing and enhance its presence in international forums.
