Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces General Command announced that Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft successfully intercepted and shot down two drones on Monday morning, July 27, 2026, after they attempted to target Jordanian territory. The Armed Forces confirmed that there were no casualties or significant material damage as a result of the successful interception and downing operation.
In the same field context, the command stated that the Royal Engineering teams immediately went to the site where the wreckage of the two drones fell, and dealt with it completely in accordance with the technical and security procedures followed, as well as taking strict measures to fully secure the area and ensure the safety of citizens.
The Jordanian Armed Forces General Command emphasized in its statement that it continues to monitor the Kingdom’s airspace around the clock with unwavering precision. The military establishment affirmed that it maintains the highest levels of operational readiness and vigilance to decisively and immediately respond to any threat to the country’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.
