Makkah, Saudi Arabia – The Muslim World League strongly condemned the attack targeting a train in Balochistan province, southwestern Pakistan, affirming its categorical rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that target innocent civilians and threaten the security and stability of nations.
In a statement, the League explained that targeting transportation and civilian infrastructure constitutes a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws and norms. It also undermines efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.
The League affirmed its solidarity with Pakistan and its people in the face of such acts, stressing the need for concerted international efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms and to dry up its sources.
It also called for strengthening regional and international cooperation to combat violence and protect civilians, and to promote a culture of tolerance, peace, and the rejection of hatred, thereby contributing to stability and development in conflict-affected communities.
Observers believe that such repeated condemnations reflect a unified international and Islamic stance rejecting the targeting of civilians. They also underscore the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law in light of escalating tensions in some regions.
