Amman, Jordan – King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed that Jordan has managed to maintain its security and stability and protect its borders, while continuing its democratic progress despite the regional and international challenges and circumstances the region has witnessed in recent years. He noted that the Kingdom has overcome numerous crises thanks to the cohesion of its state institutions and the unity of its society.

King Abdullah explained that Jordan has faced multiple political, economic, and security challenges at various stages. However, it has been able to continue implementing development and modernization programs across various sectors. At the same time, Jordan has maintained internal stability and strengthened the role of national institutions.

He pointed out that the political reform and modernization process is a key pillar of the state’s vision for the current phase, as the Kingdom works to enhance political participation, develop party life, and expand the scope of democratic action, in line with the requirements of the next phase and the aspirations of its citizens.

He also stressed the importance of preserving national achievements. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to strengthen the state’s ability to confront regional challenges in light of the rapid developments and ongoing changes in the region. These developments have repercussions on various political, security, and economic issues.

He affirmed that protecting Jordan’s security and stability will remain a top priority, alongside continued efforts to support development, strengthen the national economy, and create a conducive environment for further progress in the coming period.

Observers believe that the Jordanian monarch’s remarks reflect the Kingdom’s approach of balancing security and stability requirements with the continuation of reform and modernization programs, amidst evolving regional and international challenges.
